Humans have for a long time been saying that there is a lot of grey areas in the Bible. I don't see it. We in our own human pride love to prove things wrong. We take great satisfaction in thinking we are smart or better than another person. I love how God's Word puts it. (Isaiah 64:6) To Him we are like filthy rags!! and not meaning dirty dish rags. It is talking about a woman's dirty garments. So next time you think you are pretty smart or proud of yourself, than read that scripture daily. For God loves the humble and despises the proud.
So is the grey area that people love to call it and love to debate about even matter to God. Maybe just maybe a God of Infinite wonders didn't care to talk about those items because He had a lot more important things to share to the Human race, like Jesus, Rising from the dead!!, some more Jesus and how we are to live here on Earth, why we were made, (which most of us are not doing daily) and so much more! and than some more Jesus in the End!! So when you hear people debating the authenticity of the bible remember this (Isaiah 55: 8-9) "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways" declares the Lord. 9 "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are my ways higher than your ways And my thoughts than your thoughts.
When I read the scripture I see as a complete Black and White Book. God does not leave any doubt in my mind in how I am supposed to live my life and why I am created. People to often take a scripture and twist to what they think it is saying. When I hear people doing this I just want to smack them over the head. The Bible is the most upfront and in your face book, you will ever read. If you are not taking for what it says as the whole truth than you are saying you know more than God. (read Isaiah 55:8-9 again you filthy rag)
Man I have come to love this Book I have been reading for far to long and wish I would have been smacked over the head by God a lot sooner. He is so blunt, real, loving, forgiving and always there. You could never find a friend better than God. So people quit putting your faith in other people and remember that we are just sheep. (another way God tells we are not smart) :)
Quit living a life that pleases only you and wasting your life doing things that don't bring Glory to Him. (meaning face novel, tweeting, and any other idol that keeps us from having that relationship that He so desperately wants with us.) If you wake up every morning and think of something other than your relationship with God or how you can further His kingdom, than you know exactly what idol you can take out of your life for starts. Pray to God that He will prune your life as (John 15) talks about. I promise you, if you start asking God to prune you of the things of this world, and ask Him what is keeping you from having that walk with Him that He wants to have with you that you will be humbled before God.
I am saying these things to you because God has smacked me over the head for the past two years and has been refining me into the person that He wants me to be. I don't want to live a life anymore for my self. I don't want to stand before God and have Him ask me "What have you done for Me". For my answer would be uhhhhhhh? baaaaa! I want to make my life count on this earth for God and don't care if I offend people in the process. I am made to worship God, not just in song but my actions, thoughts and words. (Romans10:14) is a scripture that God is been constantly bringing up before me in my devotions, the books I am reading and countless other ways. Paul talks about how can people call on Him (meaning God) when they have not believed? And how can they believe in Him when they have not heard about Him? He than asks the question that has been ringing in my head for a few months. How will they hear without a preacher? This verse has hit me right between the eyes and has smacked some sense into me. You don't have to be a preacher to reach people for Christ. You don't have to be an amazing song writer. God wants you to be you. "For you are fearfully and wonderfully made." Don't try to be someone that you are not. If you have pride in the way, than ask God to refine you, but you better have knee pads on because that is where you are going to be a lot of the time.
Every person on earth could ask God to prune them of Pride. C.S. Lewis puts it best, "Pride is the greatest sin" When I read that book last year it hit me to what he was talking about.God tells us that no sin is greater than another but a sin that will definitely keep a lot of people from entering the kingdom of God. Why do you think there are so many false religions? We as humans think we are better than everyone else but we are just "filthy rags". My prayer is that God will wake up this world of their selfish ways and that we will all start pursuing the lost. God gave us the Holy Spirit, so when are you going to start using your gifts for God?
(Amos 8:11) "Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord."
PRIDE is going to be what keeps us from hearing the words of the Lord!!!
Thanks for sharing bro, we can never be reminded enough that our pride is 99.99% of the time the reason we get in the way of what the Lord whats to do in our lives. And YES the HolySpirit has filled us, because of the promise that Jesus gave us.... AMAZING! Oh how many times we get caught up in trying to learn all the fine points of theology, or have the most retweets, instead of remembering more the simple but extravagant truths that Jesus revealed and accomplished for His GLORY!. 1 John 3:16-24
